Not laid off, but I do think about it if was and couldn’t find a job in six months.
Can you sue if mental health was affected?
Lol
Well when company gave good packages did you say my health is good give me low pay
And do what?
Go out with older women for money. Its not glorious, but its a job.
Deuce Bigolo
Every industry has layoffs. Remember 2020 when every industry was laying people off while tech was hiring like crazy?
No industry has layoffs when record growth is happening unless if there is no going back. Are you watching the stock market? Layoffs happen and jobs are moved to Brazil and India
Don’t compare planetary pandemic with planetary greed.
I switched out of product to be in support job. I've been told by others right now it's about weathering the storm until things pick up.
Did you have to take a pay cut ?
Yeah, I don't make 6 figures no more. Hopefully I can move laterally and do something else after I'm established at the company
I'd startup
I am working on something
What is it
Leaving because of layoff , health and stress
Bills???
Taking up other jobs in uber eats for time
I loved being laid off because I already wanted to pivot
Pivot to?
If I get laid off I'll see where o can end up after taking some time out first. Sadly tech is my best option be abuse of where I live + language skills. Started in a traditional industry here though and there are also layoffs in my function there even though it was unthinkable and my ex colleagues were so sure of their security vs mine in tech.
I’d join a startup. In fact I’m thinking about it already.
If you left or would leave tech what profession would you pursue?
I run a crew of venezuelan children cleaning windshields and selling flowers. My second job I drive uber
So your a pimp?
