Looking over vanguard site and seems like they do take min $50k of investments managed by personal advisor. Anyone with experience working with them? Would you suggest to consider this as a option to learn and manage portfolio in a season like we are in? #money #investments #401k
The only thing I learned was that you can put less growth assets in traditional IRA and put growth centered assets into Roth IRA to get your overall allocation right
That way you will get your desired asset allocation but less tax due at withdrawal time
Expensive way to buy vti
The advisor I use do a min of $5k
What company it is?
Ameriprise Financial Services and Geneous Wealth Management
Yes but I’m planning to cancel. The advisors just set everyone up with a very similar mixture of funds and don’t offer any useful advice apart from what you can get from an hour on boglewiki. I recommend booking a consultation with them, getting the mix they recommend, and just applying the plan on your own. The advisor is more made for older people that are near/in retirement and can’t manage it themselves.
I used Personal Capital for this and felt the same.
