Pinecone.io provides a serverless vector database targeted at Machine Learning workloads. Competitors are Milvus, Weaviate, Vespa etc. It seems Pinecone's differentiator is that it's a pure play as a managed service vector DB (ie no option for self hosting), as well as richer CRUD functionality than other offerings. Currently the DB is closed source, and was founded by Edo Liberty, who most recently headed up AWS's Sagemaker team. A few recruiters have reached out to me and they seem like a really cool company but they're still small enough to where employee testimonials are few. Anyone have any thoughts here on the team, tech, or anything else? Current TC: $215
Interested to know as well. Do you have any updates OP?
None other than I wish I had joined when I had the chance, vector db's are hot rn!
Did you interview with them?
Do you know how well the engineers are paid there?
We use milvus and it's lit🔥
