Your manager can, however, block the transfer. People who usually wanna move within a year are trying to escape a toxic or unhealthy team, which is usually lead by a toxic manager, who will not let you leave. But like ^ said it’s not unheard of. Good luck

We have two internal transfers in my team . They checked the internal openings and applied and spoke to the hiring manager.
