Got a verbal offer that I think is very low, and would love your take on it and advice on next steps while I wait for them to come back with a better one. Location: Cupertino Base: 190K Bonus target: 10% = 19K Stock: 160K = 40K / year Sign on - wasn't discussed yet --- TC = 249K They claim they currently can't ago above 160K stock (which I think is complete BS, and I wasn't shy about expressing that, politely of course). Current TC (Seattle area): 245K YoE: 10 (5 as HW dev, 5 as PM) After accounting for CA taxes and cost of living difference, this would be around 20% drop in net TC, so obviously out of the question as it is. Thoughts? Is it a crazy lowball or am I exaggerating? What do you think it the actual highest they can get to for base and stock, and also for sign-on (which is yet to be discussed)? Any tips for the next conversation? Additional info: - They said feedback was very good - It's a HW team #apple #pm #epm #offer #tc
Ridiculously low for 10 YOE (even 5 if you only count PM experience)
Earlier this year, my offer in the SWE org was 200k. 10%. 240k/4. 40k
So ~300 TC. Was this the initial offer or after negotiation? Also, mind sharing YoE?
Is this an IC4 offer? How much experience?
@sigLoti they did the same to me... I got a verbal offer which is very close to your offer.. They just offered 160k as RSUs... after talking to my friend, I found out that this amount is really low
Thanks. Was this recent? Did you try to negotiate?
Yes this was today... Do you mind if I DM you?
base is ok but otherwise seems low
@SSN1406 are u part of the HW team?
yes I am
Are all apple recent offers this low for RSU's? Does it depend on stock value?
What happened OP , did you take it ?
Engineering pm? Definitely sounds low but I only know of engineering teams compensation based on my prior experience and based on that this is low
Yes, EPM = Eng PM Thanks
