A recruiter from Apple reached out to me regarding a finance analyst role. Does anyone here have any insights on what its like working in finace at Apple? The work, pay, culture?
Interesting, did they reach out directly though email?
Curious to how you got recruited. I’m interested in leaving to work for a tech companies and just wondering what you think they saw say on your profile
What’s total comp look like?
Depends on the role. If compares to accounting firms of all size, the total comp can easily have 20%+ higher.
For the work, it depends on the responsibilities of your role. You should be able to see just as much if not more than the top tech companies around the area. Just get through the interview process so you can ask questions and figure out. The total compensation is competitive compared to the other big techs like google and FB (with less benefits like free foods and stuffs). Culture wise, Apple has a comparatively mature group of people especially at the leadership level. So things are handled in more traditional ways such as you expect to have layers of approval and review process on everything u do. And you are expected to know your stuffs. But, everything mentioned depends on who you reports to. So u need to go through the process and figure out.

Have a few friends at Apple (not Finance though). They say culture is generally rigorous but that's common in SV, especially among the top companies where you are surrounded by ambitious, top talent.
