Apple ICT3 offer - 11 YOE
Does this seem right? I was offered an ICT3 offer. Is Apple being extremely tight with levels right now or something? Can I negotiate to ICT4?

I’d say try to negotiate but if you push too hard you might end-up losing it in this economy.

No. Neither of us ever mentioned levels. I thought they would offer based on whatever your experience was. Maybe it was ICT3 from the beginning
Usually job posting has low and high level hm is targeting and level should be determined based on interview performance and past experiences. I don’t know what the situation is but I’d ask for ICT4 or just walk away.
You can ignore and keep looking for other roles. Apple is basically trolling with lowballs these days

YOE doesn’t matter. It’s all depends on how well you did during the interview. And how much money Apple needs to offer you to give up your current role. A Meta engineer with 3 YOE making 300k can be offered ICT4 simply because ICT3 comps is never going to be appealing to that person. On the other hand , for a people with 10yoe but only making 200k TC, an ICT3 offer is already higher so there’s no incentive to offer them ICT4
Dont recruiters give the the argument that they don’t consider the candidates current TC while extending an offer, and there’s no way of validating the candidate’s level and TCat their current company
I’ve seen Microsoft give an uplevel to compete with comp. But I haven’t seen Apple do this just because you make so much more money. For Apple they really do care about interview performance, so you can be downleveled due to lack of leadership and behavioral stories meeting the bar.
Assuming you’re Senior already, why take the downlevel and make 100K less?
11 yoe should be an ICT4.
Mind sharing the rest of the ranges for YOE:ICT?
Yes, it’s extremely tight. You might lose offer to someone else ready to take up ICT3 for 6-8 YOE.
