Hi folks, I recently got an offer from apple. Base: 170k RSU: 150k Sign-on: 50k Yoe: 5 Total comes to around 221k (without sign-on). My current TC is around 250k after all the stock appreciation. I feel it is low-ball. Any suggestion on how the TC looks and what I can negotiate to take my TC higher. Thanks.

I suggest either ask them to improve the offer or look for another opportunity.

150k RSU is for 4 years? If so then total comp is 208k without sign on. RSUs are low, ask for 250k RSUs
Low ball for 5 yoe. I have seen engineers joining as ICT3 getting 250k RSU easily even during this pandemic slow down. Negotiate hard and don’t get sidetracked with the RSU refreshers talks which most of the recruiters do to avoid the RSU negotiations. Also keep in mind you will spend nearly two years before getting any RSU refreshers getting vested. Get other offers to negotiate better.
I agree with this There will be a minuscule refresher in first year as its not you full year Only after 24 months you will get your major refresh will will then have its first vest in 6 months following it...so you are looking at 2 years and 6 months to get first major vest But yeah the espp will start rolling soon if you happen to not miss the deadline for next cycle Try to time the cycle by asking about it to recruiters
So the fiscal year is from October to September? Is that correct? For the performance review? Checking if 2020/2021 will be an year when I will get miniscule refreshers or not.
