Apple ICT5 question
I recently interviewed for an MLE position at apple. It went well, I suspect I will get an offer. About me: * YOE 5 * Stem PhD * 500k TC My questions are: (1) Is it realistic that apple will increase my TC? (2) Is it realistic that apple levels me at ICT5? I suspect that the answer to both questions is No (since my YOE is too low) but still wanted to ask. #apple #mle
IC5 for 5Yoe is too difficult. Double the Yoe, still it will be difficult to get IC5

My gf is PhD and 3yoe got ict4 (she was upleveled). Her manager is PhD ict4 and at least 6 YOE. All these for hardware.
ICT5 would be challenging from that I know. What's the focus of your position?
I got ICT5 with the same background and YOE as you. I was an E6 at Meta which is equivalent to ICT5 and that helped a lot. If you have an equivalent level to ICT5 at your current job, make sure to highlight this to the recruiter.
Could you share your Apple TC?
I'm not from the US, so TC ranges here are less relevant to what you can get.
At 5 YOE you will not get ICT5. ICT4 is doable but they won’t be able to match your current TC.

Not true. You have a phD and 5 years. ICT5 requirement is 7-8 years and Bachelors. So it’s very possible since phD usually counts at 3-5 years experience
