Apple Is&t first review
i joined Apple IS&T a year ago. i just got my first review. i worked hard here and made major changes in infrastructure. After all this hard work the review is under average. Most full time employees in my team do nothing but manage contractors. The code is fairly poor quality. It was bad idea to join here. Always thought higher of Apple. Pretty low grade place and management. Pretty sad today
I know they were good as it had to do with moving builds into PIE. I do not have a high opinion of Infosys and not asking you for advise. Since you are Infosys you can only fit in IS&T. That may be not be true for me. Good luck to you

It is a crappy organization at Apple run by mediocre Infosys people, who only know politics.
Yea Infosys does have a lot of below average coders, I’ll give you that.
Is TC in IS&T similar to a sde in other orgs at apple?
Yes, if not better, ironically. Just don’t expect to be working on the core products of Apple. The org is highly outsourced.
OP: it's your mistake you joined IS&T in the first place. It's the graveyard for apple products. Had an offer there and rejected it looking at the quality of engineering ( it's a joke)

You can know if all your interviewers are from Infosys and sadly they couldn't even speak proper English (forget programming) Lack of understanding of algorithms. I figured One interviewer read the question on geeksforgeeks and came for the interview since he knew just one solution for the problem. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what's happening I got the offer but thank God I didn't fell for the apple trap.
I totally agree. I have worked here for a year. Pretty painful time as development is poor quality and manager promotes incompetence. That’s why I am totally surprised at my review. My biggest mistake to join here thinking I am joining Apple. Hopefully other groups at Apple are not like this.
OP, does the “iPhone operations products team” comes under the IS&T umbrella?
Just cause you “worked hard and made major infrastructure changes” doesn’t mean they were good. Like accept the feedback and improve or you won’t get better.

Wasn’t attacking him. If his manager thinks he’s under average then he’s under average and needs to improve. I think his attitude is the # 1 problem based on the replies I’m seeing.
