There are 8 rounds of interview in a virtual onsite, all on a single day.. Is it normal??Is it okay to ask to split it to two days? #apple
It's normal for apple, you will have an hour break for lunch
For me the same
Ya this is normal for Apple
It’s normal, mine was from 9am till 5pm
That’s so long
Im glad Apple takes a little different approach in hiring than the standard every tech companies are using. Sometimes I wonder why those companies even do an interview when some passed Google or Facebook. I mean the process is the same and the criteria is also the same. Why waste time for interviewing? Whereas, Apple sees the fit to the team and thats why you meet with many people. Im sick of every company is doing the same way. If its the same like an Asian college entrance exam, why bother? Set up a standard exam and give the certificate or give them score. Everyone saves time and money.
Sounds fair, similar in Salesforce as well but 8 rounds is ridiculous
8 rounds in a day sounds ridiculous. It is definitely okay to ask to split into two days.
I split mine to two days
8 rounds, 45 mins each right? That's the same as 6 1hr interviews which is a standard practice at most companies. I found it alright but you can ask for a split if you feel it's too long.
Nah it’s more like 1 hour as they continue talking about company or more like behavioral stuff with you after the 45 mins interview. I got 5 mins break btwn each round
Ok, in my virtual interview the next interviewer would join the call right after 45 mins. So the current interviewer couldn't stretch past 45mins. Safe to split if that's not the case
Yes, it is, what team? I recently gave interview for apple and it was 5 round, each round had 2 people in it but 4th round was two managers (30 mins), 8 hours is crazy
Which team was it ? Mind sharing what were asked (in both coding and sys design)? Thanks
