What is the quota #?
Which org? I checked with a manager in my org last week and they said they didn’t hear any. I’m in services org.
Any word on if it’s permanent? Or a one time big deal? Also what size quota and what kind of enforcement? The broader the enforcement the more it makes sense. Ex: 10% on an org the size of 500 people makes more sense than 50 people. One is normal performance culling, the other turns into a knife fight.
Have all big tech companies just put their heads up their asses and decided that mass PIPs are good for business? Do they not realize how expensive hiring someone new is? I'm not saying no one should ever get fired, more that there are better ways of encouraging someone to improve without threatening their livelihood right off.
Do you remember when they all colluded to keep pay down? Are you surprised this behavior could repeat or that actual business reasoning for downsizing could be more nefarious than appears on the surface?
Ok nice. This has me very nervous now
No one was planning to join Apple but thanks for the heads up
Do PIPs affect managers and if so, how? I know a couple of folks at Apple and I’d like to help them.
So basically start applying in October
