Apple RTO status?
I'm interested in applying for a job at Apple. There were lots of people grumbling about mandatory RTO a while ago. What's the current RTO status? (I'm okay with going in BTW, just curious.) #apple #rto

Interviewed recently and in all rounds, each person asked if I’m okay to come into office. Some said 3 and some said 5. Multiple teams so each have their own mandate.

Thanks. Seems like a lot of things really vary by team at Apple, including the interviews themselves. How were the interviews for you? Were you interviewing for a HW role, SW role or something else?
3 days a week. Tuesday and Thursdays for everyone. The third day is decided by team/org, usually it’s Wednesday. So you can’t just pick any three days and show up on those. Also 4 weeks of WFH a year (must be used in one week increments).
WFH weeks are an interesting addition. Are people actually showing up 3+ days a week?
Yes the vast majority of people are. Occasionally maybe if you have a doctors appointment or something you may miss a day but otherwise people do generally show up all 3 days. It’s been the case since last September. Some teams like in hardware have to be in office 5 days a week. In fact they were required to be in office even during COVID in 2020 and never did WFH at all. This is Apple, we don’t mess around.
