Can anyone send me more info? I’m definitely interested
There no info to be sent. It is pure luck. Those I know are remote became remote after a few years being local, and for extraordinary reasons and a very open minded manager. HR is now trying to stop that from happening nowadays and it looks like to me this eventually might mean we will have to see them go.
Curious, how could HR stop this from happening if there is a strong business need and support from higher up to retain a key employee remotely?
It’s very very rare. For the most part there are strict rules about being in the office. Some managers eve control your hours and presence in the office.
Few folks are remote. Those are exceptions however.
Which group and line of work?
I have heard very few people at PIE or maps work remotely.
