I did my internship this past summer @Apple. I believe the team had a positive feedback on me (or at least that’s what I heard). Today I got an email from HR saying that they are interested in getting me back to the team, but they need me to go through a phone call with the team director. What exactly should I expect from this call?
Be ready to talk about what interests you about the job. It’s easy.
I mean just be prepared to suck the corporate cock and tell them how much you love Apple and why. Also probably good to be able to recap the tangible benefits of your summer project and how it had a positive impact.
Got it. So I guess nothing technical, but I should express how I can contribute to the team, correct?
Director interviews focus on the JFK principle “Ask not what Apple can do for you — ask what you can do for Apple.”
Just to update: I got the return offer. The discussion is simply my experience in general. What have I done, what did I learn, what can I contribute, and what their expectations are.
What did you expect instead of a phone call? That’s not an offer, btw.
Tbh, I was sort of expecting a confirmation letter instead of phone call.
That’s not how that works.
