Apple Stores
Does anyone know the hierarchy with an Apple Store (bottom-up)? I can't seem to find a clear distinction between the Senior Manager and Store Leader. Who reports to whom and who reports to the Market Leader. Thank you
The senior manager reports to the store leader. Store leader reports to the market leader, who oversees a general handful of stores. Honestly the distinction between senior manager and store leader isn’t much. I see store leaders as principles and senior managers as VPs, second hand “man” (for a lack of better words)
Except for the fact that the store leader assumes all responsibility for his or her store’s performance in the market team when reporting to the market leader.
Also pay structure: retail managers are non-exempt. The Store Leader is the only one in the retail that's an exempt employee. They are the only ones "always on the clock"
Store Leader (almost always only 1 per store. Rare cases have 2) Senior Manager (varies by store, usually at least 2-3, bigger stores have several more) Manager (again, varies. Usually there is a 2:1 ratio for manager:senior manager) If you truly wanted to be nosy, go poke around in Directory 😎
Any suggestions on how to get a job for these positions besides applying online and going to the store to introduce? Given resume fits the needs of the position
Nope. Apply online and wait. Going to the store to introduce doesn’t always help, as your resume is screened through HR before it ever hits the store. Especially at this time of year, your visit is actually more harmful as it could be disruptive to business.
Thank u !! I was actually advised by the people’s operation person who said that but I just felt it was kind of weird to do that so I wanted to see what others thought as well. I’ve also reached out to recruiters of retail, any other ideas how I can improve my chances besides waiting thanks 😊
Hello all. I’m new on here. Does anyone happen to know what the TC of Store Leader and Senior Manager are?
Depends on you location and the city’s cost of living. In US if I remember it correctly, SL starting with 110k base with out RSU. They do get tons of stock (based on the store\ market performance) SM usually starting 80k base.
