My neighbor is selling Thunderbolt display for $200. I thought of to buy because of the high resolution screen, is it still worth? Specs as below 27-inch Monitor 2560 x 1440 QHD (Thunderbolt) specs Manufacturing part numbers (MPN) : MC914LLA Color : Silver Screen size (inches) : 27 Model : Thunderbolt Webcam : Yes Microphone : Yes Resolution : 2560 x 1440 Screen type : QHD Refresh rate : 60 hz Panel type : TFT Aspect ratio : 16:9 DisplayPort input : Yes Brand : Apple Weight : 480 oz LCD QHD Screen 27" Apple Thunderbolt Display (A1407) #Thunderbolt #apple #monitor
First, it’s not very high resolution. 4Ks are becoming more common, size isn’t great either. DP or hdmi both do 4K now. And it’s a TFT panel- better to have VA or IPS for work stuff
I still use 2 of them at work; I like the design personally and I don’t notice the difference in resolution between these and a 4K. Make sure all the ports work though. If you like the designs I think $200 is fair.
I bought one on offer up for 200 bucks. It’s a good monitor
Great..will check there too!
$200 is a great price for this monitor. If you’re happy with the quality then go for it.

It’s not high resolution and IMO it’s not worth it. Can get an OK 4K for those money
2560×1440 is better than regular 1920×1080, right? Also, 4K monitors are not in 200 range. Am I missing anything here?
If you’re looking under 200, then yes, not many 4k options
