Amazon's stack ranking culture is quite notorious imo. I literally saw a person getting piped within 4 months. Hire for pip is there. May be not in your team since it depends on the manager. PIP itself is not a toxic one, but since control is in managers and those shit managers making this pip as a toxic culture.
