Apple and google hiring
Shocking to see few linkedIn posts of people joining google and apple this week. My final round results have not been out and its been 6 weeks already. Really frustrating situation! Anybody knows about this secret hiring process ? I am looking for a DE or DS role. Would appreciate any good referral 5YOE as a DE TC : 150k #data #dataanalytics #datascience #google #apple #meta
5YOE = L3/L4 at best. G hiring L3 at extremely limited rate(almost none bc of internal transfers too), L4 a bit more, L5 and up even more. Look at job openings there-most are for seniors, so prob L5 or higher. Apple limited too. Has general freeze, but some priority teams have headcount

Google is still hiring though business critical. There would be hiring next year also ( a few roles are given to my org)

Officially its a hiring freeze but there are still a few positions which are needed and there is no way out. For such positions you will see openings.
Apple is much more than what blind shows, each org each team is different. Most people on blind are either from IS&T (which is 60% contractors) or applecare. They usually are more active here and whatever news you see on blind for apple is mostly for those 2-3 orgs. I know a lot of teams and orgs are actively hiring. Apple did not mass hire last year the way google meta did (took every person who knocked their door) and hence they still have some reqs to fill. My suborg(team of 200) have around 7-8 positions which are pre-approved from VP for hiring.
Which org? I guess not IS&T :)

Apple is officially on a hiring freeze through September 2023. Google is only hiring for business critical roles for the past few months. This is not new news. Good luck! 👍
