Apple background check, before verbal offer?
Hi everyone, so it seems like I'm in the last stages with Apple. I had a final onsite interview, and then the next day the recruiter called and said that the feedback was great. She collected some basic salary expectations and a when can I start. At the end of the conversation she said she need to run some numbers and meanwhile I need to send her my references and I'll start the background check. The next day I received the background check link and initiated it. So far I'm 3 days in the background check, and haven't heard anything from the recruiter yet. Anyone that was recently hired can share their experiences. On one hand I'm happy, but does it just means they are running background on bunch of last candidates, or am I the one selected for the role? Thanks in advance!
They can’t initiate background till you accept the offer.
Hmm, interesting...I'm the one initiated it by providing and submitting all the details. I assumed that if she sent it, I need to do it ASAP. But haven't heard any concrete numbers, verbally or written...
ICT - technical role: my experience was the same and I think they wanted to get the ball rolling ASAP, because my feedback was good. However I found out after joining they had other candidates they were interviewing hence my delayed offer took ~ 3weeks for offer
Did they call your reference in those 3 weeks? I've provided mine, but none of them been called yet...
I don’t recall if they did. But i thinks it is up to the outside firm “hire right” to do the due diligence.
They weren’t able to legally hire me until my background check cleared. I feel like I used the link to check its progress though?
Just got done with the background check:). Do you remember how long it took to get verbal/written offer after that?
Background check is done, and I received an email that I "meet Apple standards". Anyone here got to that point and didn't eventually received an offer? Always like to be prepared for any kind of outcome :).

Hi! When did they kick off your bg check? I didn’t receive any written offer yet but got verbal offer and nothing else.
They sent me the background check form even before the onsite.
