https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-secures-25-million-landmark-agreement-apple-resolve-employment Apple caught yet again for bending the laws to favor foreign born workers. In cases like these, companies have to show open positions online before filing green cards for their foreign workers. They found ways to cheat the system and didn’t advertise open positions for general public by finding loopholes so they can hire more and more visa people. DOJ caught up to them. Meanwhile American born workers are left for suckers . Lets hope DOJ cancels each and every one of their application Meta was caught doing the same thing last year and had to pay similair fine. Why do these companies hate America and Americans so much? NW: $2M+ #apple
It’s for no other reason than the bottom line. Visa workers have less leverage in the US work force so they can treat them as such. It’s all about long term shareholder value.
Rajesh needs a job. TC?
PERM shutdown for Apple too?
Pls shut apple perm and reject visas. More headcount needed in their Hyderabad offices.
you can post LCA in your house for a remote position. BTW, it is not favoring one over others. It is finding the right person and going to lengths to get person onboard
Time to apply, they might finally call back
Huge news hopefully US citizens will finally get a chance now. I’m not salty, I have gotten into a few big tech companies but I see the sheer disparity. My old team was 90% internationals.
And you think they were less capable? Or paid less?
The thing is with Visa folks they technically still keep tax etc within the country so it has less opposition from the govt. than outsourcing. They still pay high but visa workers have less mobility hence higher compliance. If the employer does not provide green card processing, they are unlikely to attract visa workers which is a huge chunk of competitive workers, less potential employees means less leverage over current employees.
It's not that they hate Americans, it's that they love money more than their own country
Capitalism 🇺🇸
This. Most of us are expected to pledge loyalty and wave flags and even die to demonstrate patriotism, while a few at the top are selling us out. One of them was even caught doing it a few times in full view of the public but was protected because of his meaningless little words.

Indentured servants are known for being unusually cooperative. At least when the boss is looking.
