It’s great to see a technical deficiency being turned around into something so beautiful and useful — sheer UI prowess. We haven't really seen something like Dynamic Island's amount of interaction and multitasking outside of floating windows (like the timer and continue to do something else). It's a wonderful approach to make "wasted" screen real estate productive and entertaining at the same time. Some Androids had punch hole displays since a long time ago, but could never think of something like this. (maybe LG did?)
I feel LG deserved much more appreciation than Samsung. Just snapping a 108MP cameras is not what I pay for (optimize your software)
Stop being apple simp
People who have used iPhone for the most part and who haven't used high end Android seem to think Apple is great. Most of the UX is shit and you need a manual to do simple things. You can't even pause a video recording, that's so basic and useful. There are literally dozens I can't even bother now.
Stop commenting here and hurry up with my food order..
Ok boss. What's your order number?
Yea but I make more money
Dynamic island is just a buggy layer to hide the shitty notch. It's not an innovation. Period
Apple simps are a different breed. Really personify the spit on me and call it icing concept.
Im not even on the software side but i have to admit they knocked it out of the park. You’re missing the fact that it dynamically gives instant access to relevant contexts rather than having to swipe down or swipe up. Nifty way to turn a bug into a feature
Agreed with the OP. Every Android phone is a piece of junk.
Sure its “cool” and really great example of choosing to die on that hill. Good way to own it. Feels like gimmick still to me. Inb4 h8r
bold way of saying they can’t make a hole punch front camera or one behind the screen
another year of apple not using usb c on their new iPhones
And no fingerprint reader.
This is high art
