Apple hiring pause
I completed all interviews and background check with Apple, but did not get any update for 6 weeks. The recruiter was totally ghosting me for 6 weeks! Today he face timed me and said that it was because they paused all hiring processes. I think it ended now cause he said they will hopefully make an offer this week. So, I wanted to inform the people interviewing with Apple about the pause in hiring so that they don't lose hope.
Mine is in the Siri team in Europe, so maybe the difference is that. I hope it goes well for you.
Please fix Siri cuz she’s useless.
I know someone who accepted an apple offer last week
He said it was paused for 2 weeks, maybe the pause ended last week. He was not responding for 6 weeks anyway. The hiring process really sucks. Also this position is in Europe, maybe it's different.
True this was US and I don't know any details of his process other than he shared he was accepting an offer last week
They probably have another promising candidate that they want to interview asap

Yes. As long as your education was shared accurately/truthfully then there shouldn’t be any issues.
i put “incomplete” on my application but said i graduated during the interview process since it’s only 1 general ed course i haven’t finished…. do you think this will be ok?
This does not apply apple wide. I’m not sure who paused hiring in your case but there are entire departments that have never stopped hiring.

Lots of tech companies are pausing hiring in Europe as this market as shown the risk of hiring European devs is not worth the reward of cheaper labor

No, actually it is a bit weird. I don't know why they did that. But some people at Apple said that they also did the bg check before the offer.
That’s how it was for me in AppleCare. That’s how I found out the offer was coming, I got an alert someone was running my background.
