- Has new headcount for 2024 been released to teams? - Has the antitrust lawsuit caused hiring delays? - If you complete the interview loop and are then scheduled for casual 1:1s with director level people, does that essentially mean you "passed" the interview? is an offer likely? L6 TC 550k
-yes -don’t think so but idk -yes
I know at least one person who got rejected after last director round ( manager of HM). So take that interview seriously
That’s def serious, directors do not waste their time for casual “hello”, if they’d deem you don’t fit team generally they’d veto you out
You have to really fumble the bag to mess up the director round. Mine felt like they were convincing me to join (with a few general/easy questions about like what I’ve done technically in the past)
F google trash
???
Yup, we have started interviewing.
Don’t join. It’s toxic here. I was asked to apologize for a single bug
Apologize to whom?
To the director and vp. Because we wronged them
Not worth anymore
Probably the worst place I've worked even Tier 2 non faang companies were better then this. Very heavy on micromanaging from skip level and my immediate manager. I joined from another faang I wish I never did. I'll echo what I've said in internal blind channel here I get micromanaged all day long and haven't done anything useful since joining apple. Every project I've been on has had 3 pivots after management telling me the last pivot will be the last and of course I do the work and lead the project because it's incredibly important to get it done for it all go to waste and never even land. I'm an ICT5 with very little visibility and just being told by what to do. I can't even control the direction the project is going, etc.
Yes No Yes - but if you’re meeting with directors it’s still an interview, and will set the tone for your future. Tread carefully.
Yes No No Ghosting by recruiters at any round is possible. Be ready to struggle the first year. When I say not the normal learning arc when you join a new company. It’s more of a No documentation, most colleagues hold knowledge but won’t share much because that is how you grow. I have not worked at Amazon, so I am not sure but I would like to say it’s better than Amazon because pip is harder here so.. Will you learn anything new - No Code quality - bad

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
We are seeing headcount’s atleast in our org (Services/Cloud). But man, can I not advise enough against joining. We are a shitshow when it comes to anything cloud. Maybe TC will make it worth your while, but not sure if that’s the only place to get that.
Are there any c++ roles? What stack do you use? I desperately need to vwmf
Thanks for that insight. Would you say that non-cloud teams are more functional?
