I finished my last round of interviews more than 3 weeks ago. I wrote to the recruiter and got no response. I wrote to the coordinator, and she wrote back to me, but without any concrete advice, and cc the recruiter. What should I do? Should I write to the hiring manager?
I wouldn’t write the hiring manager. Whether you got the job and the recruiter is just way behind or you didn’t get the job and the recruiter is ghosting you, the manager wouldn’t be allowed to reply to you. If anything it will just put the manager in an uncomfortable position.
Thanks for the advice
Counter example. I did tech screening with apple HM. 2 weeks went by without response. Emailed HM, turned out recruiter forgot to schedule follow-up. Ended getting the offer.
Why don’t you write to HM and see what happens?
The previous post advised me not to do it.
Do you really think your offer is contingent on a couple of emails you send or don’t?
In the same situation but 4 weeks instead. Wrote to the recruiter thrice without any replies. Just gotta move on.
Did you apply with a referral?
No, but I had contacted the hiring manager via LinkedIn before the recruiter reached out to me to set the interviews.
Yeah move on they would’ve contacted you by now.
What’s the typical wait time to get feedback?
1 week max.
Write a handwritten letter to Tim Cook
I wrote to the HM and just got his reply. Turns out the recruiter is on maternity leave, and they are replacing her. The HM asked me to wait.
Well I’m very happy for you that you didn’t listen to my advice! I’m sure that reply made you sigh in relief.
Thanks. However, I am having an opportunity inside Zoom that might boost my TC about 30%.
What was asked in the interview. How did you prep ? How much time one can take for scheduling interviews? How many rounds you have to go thru
I had a similar experience but haven't heard back since Sept 2023 lol. Seemed like the interview went well and after a few follow-ups, the recruiter responded in Nov that the team is still gathering feedback and will keep me posted on any updates. Any insights on why this could happen? The last time I followed up was in Jan, but no response.
Youre the backup. move on.
