I had a virtual on-site with apple on 8/3 for a software role on the amp team. I emailed the recruiter yesterday and have not heard back yet. What is the usual turn around time of a hiring decision? I assume quick is good and the longer it takes the worst news it will be? When I had the phone screen I got an email the same day looking for a call. Thanks!
How was the interview process
I thought it was fine mostly behavioral with some coding portions that were similar to leetcode, but not taken directly from the site. I had 7 people for the virtual on-site in 45 minute increments. So it was a long day. I think this was the best performance I have done onsite at big company. So really hoping to convert to an offer. Would even take a down level to ict3 if they don't think I'm apple senior.
So you had 7 interviews 45 minutes interviews? That's crazy
1 week max, give it some time
Thanks. I got reply from the recruiter today saying "the team will let me know by early next week". So hopefully it's good news as it's in your week time frame. This would be a huge level up from my current company.
Interviewed with two teams last month. Got positive result from both within two days.
Did you feel your performance blew the out of the water? I don't think I did that well, but it was a great day for me coming from a low teir company. Senior where I work now is definitely not senior at apple. More than happy to take a down level if it must come to that as it will still be a huge pay raise.
I think my interviews went well. In both loops I know one round went okayish. But again I can’t say how well the design rounds went.
Is Apple coding LC Medium level in general ? Heard interviewing is team specific : any use of going through actual LC Apple tagged questions ?
Medium and hards from my experience Very very team dependent
In case anybody cares I did not get an offer because "the team felt there isn't a direct alignment with the role at this time" Fancy speak for I didn't interview well enough, even though I felt good at the end of the day. Oh well back to sending out more resumes and hoping somebody calls me back.
How did you manage drawing for system Design?
I didn't have to draw anything. I just created classes with methods and talked about how I would create APIs.
Yes you got it right. Quick is good. I got it with in a day. That being said sometimes they will check other candidates and get back to you later. Give them few more days.
Thanks. I just got a response from the recruiter saying "the team will let me know by early next week". So not out of the running yet I guess. I hopping it's just collecting all the feedback from the 7 interviewers that is taking time.
