Hello Blind folks, I need some some advice on how to approach this situation. Basically I ordered an IPhone 13 pro max from Apple and an adapter last week. They delivered that order to me 3 days ago. The box only had the adapter and not the IPhone. I called Apple and asked them to investigate. They agreed a few hours later and said theyâll mail a new one. Fast forward to today and I receive another package from Apple and this time the brown box which Apple usually sends iPhones in is EMPTY. The box hasnt been tampered with, My house is in a pretty safe location and Iâve never experienced any packages missing. I called apple again and asked them to investigate and issue me a refund. A few hours later they emailed me saying that Apple and the carrier have completed the investigation and they wonât take any further action. I called their customer service and also talked to one one of the managers on the line for an hour and they refuse to do anything. Apparently according to them the only way I can get a $1300 is by returning the phone which I NEVER got. I called FedEx too and apparently they have some legal obligation to Apple and canât investigate or open a case on my behalf. NEVER EXPECTED THIS FROM a company like APPLE. Oh and I forgot to mention, fedex never took my signature during delivery both the times. Also I thought of disputing this charge through my credit card but Iâm unsure if that would work either since I bought this iPhone using my Apple card. Any advice on how I can get my refund would be appreciated. #help
ok Iâll buy Huawei next time.
I think you can still dispute this using your credit card, its more about a credit card service than its being about an apple purchase. More so, you should think about a police complaint too. That would make a stronger case
Lol I literally told the customer service representative that the only option I have is to dispute this transaction through my cc. They literally told me that I might lose access to my âapple idâ and wonât be able to order online afte that. What a joke, I felt like theyâre blaming me for all this bs.
Master card is not providing purchase protection on apple card, so you are outnof luck on that, police complaint may help you present a stronger case to apple
Call you CC company they'll take care of it... One if the benefits of using a CC
Thatâs messed up. Go in person and have a staff member handle it. Escalate if not. Keep going until youâve succeeded. Youâve done nothing wrong here. $1,300 is a lot of money to just give up on.
Its a huge amount. I dont even know if theyll be able to help me with this at the store if its an online order?
Iâd be shocked if they couldnât. First call your credit card company. Yes, even if it is apple. You donât know what you donât know. Seriously good luck. Iâd be pissed
Be glad they didnât send you iPhone 12 Pro instead of 13 pro. Coz for them 12 and 13 are same lol
you have to purchase the phone seprately the price you paid is for the revolutionary adapter :P May be try to get the imei details for the order and ask if the phone has been activated, if yes approach police to track it
Report to the cops. At least they can push FedEx to open an investigation.
Maybe they think youâre a fraud cause it happened twice. Note to myself in the future, I need to take an unboxing video for expensive stuff
Yea thatâs what I believe. Not sure how to prove it to them. Been ordering stuff from Apple since their first iPhone came out, happened to me for the first time
Do you somehow have serial number you can see on the box or receipt? You can try to ask apple to track it
Can't they track the phone from IMEI, if you have the box you have the IMEI. I seriously suspect FedEx, I have had issue of them misplacing and losing delaying my stuff every freaking time. If it's FedEx I generally put a hold and collect it from the center, that way they can't claim it was delivered. Relaxing the rule to not sign during delivery because of COVID is a menace. Again dispute with your CC and raise a police complaint and last take it in social media. (Honestly Have had issues with đ few years back and their response was faster on Twitter although they didn't/couldn't fix the issue and vehamently denied that being the issue in first place
Crazy times!
