Apple onsite interview feedback
Hello, I had a virtual onsite interview with Apple for software engineer’s role and received a call from my recruiter today saying the feedback was positive. However, she said there’s another interview scheduled in a week with another candidate for the same role and out of courtesy they would like to do the interview and then they would get back to me post that. What are my chances? Didnt they like me enough? Am I being used as a backup? Please help! YOE:2 TC: 145k
Apple’s recruitment process is highly broken. Recruiters take candidates for granted, keep them in limbo for weeks. Software culture is shitty anyways, goto Apple as a last resort if you can’t make it to FANG.

I mean for all of us, why would they have a backup if they have more open headcount than they can fill?
