Why is it so G*damn difficult to move money out of India
Savings? What’s that?
I think wealthfront already offers 4.3% What’s so exciting about this!
Fuck yes apple
Apple trying to compete with big banks? Good jaab
They're using a big bank as the backend..
Goldman Sachs as a service (gsas)
Robinhood is already giving that
Robinhood is not FDIC?
That’s a good point. They’ve made it very confusing to know if it’s FDIC insured or not. It used to definitely not be FDIC insured. Then they introduced seperate savings accounts which is FDIC insured. I just checked and I realized that the 4.4 APY is on the brokerage not spending, so that’s not FDIC insured
Ally doesn’t have highest rates but good enough since I’ve been with them forever. 3.5 savings and 4 money market. Not going to waste energy over a few fractions of a percent
Pretty sure my Ally 11 month CD is around 4.7%
That no penalty 4.7 cd was only available for a few weeks, it’s down to 4.2 or something now . The theory was that they needed liquidity during SVB collapse, etc. which is why it was so high
They could have waited a week and launched with 4.20% interest on 4.20
This is Apple, not Tesla.
Would be nice if we had a little fun from time to time
Good luck with that, their Bank CS is horrible.
When does it change btw? Is it a fixed %4 for a year only?
As soon as Tim needs more money
I don’t expect any bank to give 4.15% forever, it normally changes in money market too I think same will be with Apple too , it’s more about convenience and trust, Apple won’t go bankrupt anytime soon and afford to pay that interest and Apple Pay is pretty convenient, I opened a bank account with 20 seconds!!
