I started my interview process in May and still awaiting a offer from Apple from the BPR team. A month ago the recruiter confirmed he has a green light to proceed with approvals for my compensation. Every week he keeps providing me an update saying we will have an update next week. last 2 week’s update has been - awaiting VP approval it’s been a frustrating long wait.
This is happening to a friend of mine. It's been months in his case.
Yep this is same experience I and many others have had
Cupertino/13 yr/ expectation 200k+
Took me 6 months to get the actual offer and my experience was similar to yours.
The best an employer can treat you is before you have joined the firm to entice you. How has this delay played out after you joined the firm?
I didn’t end up joining Apple. They took too long and the offer was below my expectations as well as other offers I had received in that time frame.
Apple is notoriously known for taking forever. 4-6 months is what I have heard from my data points.
In my case they went from first contact to written offer in 1 week. I had a deadline (other offer), made it very clear from start and they managed to meet it.
Please be careful. This happened to me...initial on site in early November and they dragged on every week after giving me a verbal. Was told in March they weren’t moving forward..
Were there any indicators in the process that suggested they were not going ahead with the offer apart from the length of time?
I mean the length of time was outrageous so I had my doubts but it was odd given I had negotiated and they had accepted and then every week they just kept saying they needed more time. It was a horrible experience
i think its very team dependent, my offer approved by vp came 3 days after my final onsite. follow up with recruiter or even HM
I’m in a similar situation where it’s been 4 going onto 5 months I think the wait is finally coming to an end maybe this week but only time will tell 🤷♂️
Update: it did come to an end, got the offer😬
