Update: that was yesterdays. Tim Apple tweeted about it too. Did I miss something? Is she related to the iPhone? The iMac? Computers? It was really creepy opening their website to learn about the new devices (was hoping that there’s any actual upgrade since last year) and seeing a dead person staring at me at full screen. Cheap way to gain PR. Maybe Tim Cook should focus on making better products and not using sweatshops in China where people suicide to make his buggy toys.

People sobbing about colonialism make my day. Truly. Some garbage country with life expectancy measure in months gets modern (for the time) infrastructure, and it then falls apart the minute the colonizers leave. Every. Time. Africa is that principal, but on a continental scale. ‘My life isn’t perfect because <ancient history>’ is the ultimate cry of the loser who doesn’t want personal accountability to be a thing.

Which victims are those? By the time the Queen came to power, the colonial empire had essentially already disintegrated. And to the extent that it existed, she had no executive power to make decisions about it. The victims are victims of successive British elected governments, not of the Queen.
