I have 8 months experience as a SWE and am about to start my masters at GT since I have a BS in EE. I think long term it will help become an eng manager/ beef up my resume for a transition from my no name company with crappy stack. My salary is 90k, no stock options, mid level benefits. Wondering if I should apply for the 2023 internships at Amazon. Already applied for the Google internships I have previously applied for LinkedIn Reach and MS Leap programs. I haven’t even made it to the interview rounds for those programs though. #internship #softwareengineer #help
Yeah you apply to a sde 1 role not an intern role, you arent in undergrad and omscs doesn't count as it's for working professionals.
It’s through the schools handshake site, includes OMSCS in the people who would qualify, so I think it’s probably a unique scenario
I think once I take my first couple classes I will just apply for normal roles
Dude, you have a degree in EE. Just study leetcode and apply to a real job lmao
I just don’t feel strong in my coding skills. In my 8 months experience I learned on the job a pretty crappy stack where I coded pretty little. Also had the worst PM ever so I feel like my experience isn’t all that valuable in the market place tbh
