Thinking of trying interviewing again to see what I can get and not sure what positions to apply for. I have the most experience in front end development (4 years) and about a year or so in backend. Given this, would you apply to full stack or strictly front end positions. I understand there's more demand for full stack but given a few months I could bring up my backend to a better level if it's worth it (ood, system design, etc). What would you do?
Which programming language are you comfortable in? If you are comfortable in c/c++/ Java etc.. then brush up DS and algo and apply for full stack.
JavaScript, but I'm fine with ds&a
In that case you are a solid frontend engineer, apply for that. In case you are interested in some company where couldn't find frontend role, apply for full stack.
Iām hiring for front end engineers. DM me
FB has a different interview track for front end. It could mean a better or worse chance for you
I am in same situation and applied for full stack roles. I was also bored doing front end. I heard that FE interviews may be a bit easier and then you can always switch teams later ?
Depends. Front end interviews will most likely ask domain specific questions in addition to data structures and algorithms
