Early last year I moved from the U.S to Asia and needed to “start from scratch” so took a downgrade in my title and salary. The company I started recently with hires me to do engineering work though my previous title and duties(plus certs) all involved architecture. It’s been about 6 months on the engineering job with some architecture tasks included but I’m starting to the get the feeling of being short changed as there’s a huge void on the architecture side of things and my time is starting to be spent mostly on these kinds of tasks plus junior people having inflated titles and not being aware of the depths on the tasks involved. A manager of a different team has already alluded to a promotion come 2022 but I’ve seen no traction on this. So how should I go about this? **Btw I’m currently interviewing for NASA and already made substantial contributions to the company including developing and deploying major cost saving solutions. #engineering #architecture
