Anyone working in architecural performance modelling and systems side. Wanted to know the type of background needed and skills required.
I have. I don't agree on SystemC. C++ is still king in terms of languages. You'll need obviously to understand microarchitecture and be able to at least read RTL and understand it.
What kind of background do you have? Do they take in people with C++ experience in software side and computer architecture knowledge?
That's pretty much my background. I formally studied arch in college and went as far as I could in terms of CS classes
Work on simulators. Hardware modeling projects and design patterns.
Good to add some domain specific knowledge like deep learning.
I haven't - but know some who have First skill is SystemC expertise
