Putting my analytical cap on and trying to find where the true Gold (Monetization) of AI is going to come from. There has to be a true commercial product utilizing AI that can be used as a moat for companies to one day rise to FAANG levels. Most startup companies seem to be focused on LLMs primarily. What do you think are the future Googles, Apples, Amazons of the AI world? Tc: $230k
Google and Microsoft are the googles and amazons of the LLM world.
you misunderstand the value of AI. the moat for AI companies is not a commercializable AI product, it has and always been the models themselves and the research necessary to build them. what investors are investing in aren't the shitty automation products most AI startups are pushing out, they're investing in AGI and the near infinite scaling of intellectual productivity that it'll make possible. this would be for applications in scientific discoveries such as synthesizing new drugs, improving existing algorithms, and digging out patterns lurking in the big data that's been around for decades. with that being said, my money is on AI research labs like openAI, deepmind, anthropic, mistral, and togetherAI. more will surely join this list as top researchers leave to start their own companies or get poached. Yeah I think the models have a lot of value but there has to be some true commercial value at some point to really become a 500bn-Trillion dollar market cap company
LLM companies playing catch-up will die off
Like which ones?
