it is a watered down version borrowed from business-job type of interviews all fluff in reality but G copied it in recent years so the prep is getting more reusable
The LP rounds are a behavioral and career deep dive. You need to prep for it by writing down your career experience so it’s all fresh in your head when they ask questions. Prepare answers for questions targeting various LPs. Like what’s the example you will use for “insist on the highest standards”, etc? I had notes in my interview and glanced at them to help. Edit: also your examples must raise the bar for the role. Having a lame example where you “insist on the highest standards” by pointing out a bug in code during review gets you down-leveled to L4.
From my experience, to prepare well for LP questions, you should make a list of projects that you worked on in the past, reflect on any accomplishments or failures you had while working on these projects. Use them as examples to answer LP questions. Do lots of mock interviews with someone who has experience in interviewing others. If you do all that, you should have no problem acing LPs
Straightforward brain dead as long as you have some canned answers
