I am curious to learn which companies are currently hiring? I had Uber interview passed 1 year and 8 months ago (for l5a) I declined and decided to join LinkedIn (Sr Swe - Infra) back then. But now I need to move around, I am not enjoying my work rightnow plus I dont see good career opportunities ahead to take me to the next level in my current team. TC: 320k after market crash YoE: 6 #tech #uber #linkedin #swe #hiring
did u ask the recruiter u was working w/
I think they moved out of Uber... I see their LinkedIn profile working on other companies now
Haha and here I am regretting choosing DD over LinkedIn lol, thought LinkedIn would be awesome.
What level did you join at DD?
E5, was offered Senior at LinkedIn but found out it’s a downlevel
LinkedIn seems to be the last paradise, no layoff, great WLB and high pay, what else Uber may take over?
Trust me LinkedIn WLB is overrated! Nothing exists in reality. Layoff probably will come, nobody is safe.
wlb is fluid. A bunch of ppl left your team and you find yourself in a monthly oncall rotation with your ex-colleagues' leftover work. Or, if you're taking on a big project for next level stuff, that's also a time drain.
Hahhahahahaha that's so funny but sadly racist! I am not Indian by the way... so Indian want to join LinkedIn over other companies? Any research/source to support that?
Of course it’s someone from Amazon who says this. The amount of batshit crazy things I’ve read on Blind over the years is predominately Amazon nut cases. Wtf do they put in the water over there?
Why would you take LinkedIn over 5a at Uber? That's a full downlevel
I was not confident of Uber as a company, LinkedIn TC was same as well. Negotiationed top band Sr swe at that time. I had bias maybe to join LinkedIn too... some of the reasons plus yes I played myself by downleveling and I am trying to correct it now.
OP, do you still want to join Uber given Uber has done silent layoff and every year 5-10% workforce will be let go ?
