By more worth, my metrics are things like durability, comfort, fit, etc and not things like the perceived social benefits of wearing designer clothes Asked a different way: is there any reason I should buy the $60 sweater from banana republic vs a $20 from target if they look the same and don’t have any visible logos?
I'm curious which designer clothes people on Blind feel this way about
Hugo boss
I don’t thing Boss is really designer. It’s just high end retail IMO.
If it’s expensive quality then yea, if it’s expensive since they look cool/designer then no
I bought a Hugo boss t-shirt for $120, While normally tshirts cost 20$. But the quality of cloth and shine on this t-shirt is in totally different league
You gotta look chiknai right
I love expensive socks. Expensive for me at least. Darn Tough wool socks. $300 to get 10-15 pairs but lifetime warranty and good for summer and winter.
Wool socks in the summer? Are you a lumberjack
Thrift store.
I do think there is a different in comfort, quality of fabric, durability and how they look on oneself overall. I am a proponent of sustainable fashion and we’ve tried ThredUP a few times to buy the more expensive ones. We’ve had a pretty good experience there if you’re open to buying pre-loved designer clothes or branded items.
The best shoes I've ever owned are handmade and cost several times of anything mass produced. They are more durable and generally will last a lifetime. So in short, some expensive items can be better than others.
I think you gotta look at the particular item. In higher standing brands we can find better materials and manufacturing for sure. I bought some stuff at Boss but I examined it to make sure I was paying for quality. The bling bling branded t-shirts are a total turnoff for me, for example. Terrible taste, but certain customers like it.
No but if you wear it every day then yes. I wear $4 tshirts but also a $250 merino wool hoodie.
Try Lululemon
I think Lululemon is overhyped tbh, and I say this as someone who bought multiple items from them to try them out
I disagree with @microsoft here. I've bought several items from Lululemon and have loved their versatility and their durability so far.
