Are quant recruiters on LinkedIn legit?
I’m sure swes in nyc get these LinkedIn messages about quant positions making 300k+. How legit are the recruiters offering these positions? Tc 140 Yoe:2

300+ is totally feasible for a qr position
But would they target non-L5 engineers?
They shouldn't know your level
Check if they have endorsements. Those are legit
Quants typically have PhD or MBA/Masters in mathematics from a top rated school. If you don't have one of those the recruiters should just be ignored as they don't understand their target candidates.
They’re legit. I got an offer from citadel for 350k w/ 1 yoe via a random recruiter on LinkedIn
are you doing data stuffs at G or general SWE? doesn’t make sense that they are looking for regular swe to fit quant roles.
The roles are legit but recruiter is probably spamming blindly. They won't hire you without really top level math chops.

Not true there are data points of quants with just BS & from non-top 4
