A minority are good but I’ve dealth with hundreds at this point - most are terrible. Many are fake, lie a lot, make unprofessional remarks at times, and just waste a lot of people’s time. If not recruiters then who? TC 320k YOE 8

I said maybe thousands but most likely in the hundreds. And no I’m not butt hurt but my team and I were just talking about the subject earlier, the general consensus was what was relayed in the post.

You’re right HR as an org but I didn’t want to come after the org as there are some alright functions e.g. HR analytics, payroll, etc. I think it’s more fair to target the source of the mold.

Haha I just spoke with a Nutanix recruiter today. She was super nice and transparent.
As OP said, not all - but definitely a majority. When I was running my startup I made sure that the last position that I would ever have to hire was a recruiter, and my whole team shared mutual feelings. Fortunately it never had to happen. I do know that many people in tech feel the same way about them.
