It is not possible to maintain this never ending stream of delivery without some extra help and I suspect a lot of people on tech are on something like Adderall or whatever. What do you think and what are you on? #tech
Most Blinders are on those too, even though if you had asked “are YOU on drugs”(rather than “are tech workers on drugs”), most would have voted No
If you cleared the job interview without drugs, you don’t need drugs to do the job.
I don’t see how the two are remotely related. If a job leads to long hours, exhaustion, and being subject to misery I totally can understand someone getting on anti anxiety or depression medication.
I see. I thought you were referring to performance enhancing drugs. My bad
Most SWE I know slack and work 30 hours a week
Adderall use is widespread.
Where they get it from? That’s definitely not widespread information
Its not as easy now with the DEA fucking with the adderall supply but prescriptions used to be super easy to get, like medical marijuana cards easy. You could tell an online dr you were having trouble focusing on a 30 minute video call and come out with a prescription. It was coming straight from their doctors in a lot of cases. Now it's a lot harder to get a prescription and the supply is restricted, so there is a huge surge of meth use and fake adderall pills all over the country. Probably half the adderall people are taking these days is actually just meth pills from the black market
75% of the industry is on crazy high doses of amphetamines
Caffeine ✅ Nicotine ✅ Amphetamine✅ THC✅ Melatonin✅
🎯 except nicotine. That addiction would be hard to kick af from what I’ve heard. I regular randomly stop the others to see if I get withdrawal symptoms. When I tried a vape it felt so good I was like, nah bro, I’m gonna skip this one.
magnesium > melatonin though
Redbull + hatred + divorce due to adultery = unlimited motivation
Write more code and get faster. Honestly, If I compare more senior developers with more junior ones speed is an obvious difference. The experience where you don't have to lookup syntax or common solutions allows you to bang out code much faster then when you are early in your career and need to google stuff or think about how to implement common patterns.
Coding is the easy part of my job
Friend of mine got addicted to adderall so he could interview prep, so sad 😔
Doesit help?
