How can my idiot brother who does real estate afford this
Except Cloud9 because I know they do use NodeJS are there other teams at Amazon that are using NodeJS? What do you use it for? Is it mostly for rendering web apps or are there any core backend services implemened in Node.JS? Side question, is PHP as much frowned upon or did PHP 7 reduced any restrictions?
We use nodejs a lot, both for frontend services but also integration tests and other utilities.
Yes, many teams in my org use it for internal UIs.
A large portion of Alexa skills are written in node and lambda :)
My current team uses Node for our edge portals but those are primarily internal-facing, my former team had several public-facing endpoints but those were all built with Java servlets/spring which still seems to be the bread and butter for most teams. PHP is still treated like the devil lol
I don't have anything against php, but I know it still gets a lot of shit
