Are you typically focused throughout the day?

I spend the majority with my brain feeling shut off/in fog. When I’m doing LeetCode or work, I just don’t feel like I’m there with my brain. One of the only times I do really feel focused is when I’m pumped up with adrenaline, but that’s just not sustainable. When someone starts talking paragraphs, I just glaze over and I’ll just try to find a written version to read because it’s too long to listen to. I’ve tried jogging/exercising but it doesn’t “bring me back”. Sometimes I do eventually focus well but it takes me like hours of sitting there really trying to focus on that one thing. The reason I ask is because when I’m focused, I feel like I learn 100x faster than when I’m in brain fog.

You mean the greatest anxiety medication ever - one that causes anxiety at request?! Probably would be homeless without it!

same here. one issue I have is noise. can't stand coworkers loud keyboard. tried noise cancelling headphones, but listening to music is distracting. tried listening to white noise or classical music, I feel like I'm drowning from the inside. tried earplugs, hurts after a while. if anyone has a solution, I'm all ears.

if you feel like you’re in a fog a lot of the time it might be a diet thing, you should run tests with your doctor and see if there’s something you should stop eating

I've heard for some people gluten and other diets high in carbs/grains can have the effect.
