It looks like both have great culture for software and very strong focus on C++ for the roles I'm interviewing for. But I'm not sure which is more ahead in terms of the tech. The only driving video I found online was just for an unprotected left, nothing more. Aurora has less funding but the leadership is more solid. Which one would you choose, assuming offered similar base, in terms of more upside, wlb and career growth? #argo #aurora
Argo, as in Argo AI?
Aurora >>> all other self driving startups. One of the few companies I'd invest in rn. They have great leadership and the strongest AV engineers in the bay
Obviously biased here, but my 2cents: go after the better team. You'll learn more, and the company will have a better chance of succeeding. To add, Aurora's independence is quite an asset, and we're not too worried about funding for the next few years. Regarding media: you can find a little more on the Aurora blog. https://medium.com/aurora-blog/technology/home
Good advise. What are some teams to avoid in software?
(I meant teams as in companies)
Both companies are great options in AV space. The business models are the biggest difference.
Can you elaborate?
Argo has deep partnerships with companies who actually build cars. That’s absolutely crucial.
How was the interview?
