Hello, I request a little assistance, if you would be so kind. I received an offer from Arista, check out levels fyi for exact numbers. What should I do to be able to ask for more? Because after taxes and crazy expensive life bills, it's just much as much as I'm currently making. How much approximately I can ask for as a mid-to-senior software engineer? What about career growth, is it true that I would be able to grade up and increase my income only after one year has passed? If it's not true, how fast would I be able to get more, if I perform well, and how much more? A pack of fang recruiters reached out for me too, but I think I need a month or two to be ready for these interviews, are they really worth that much time? 1) In order to ask for more you would need an offer from a different company. 2) Career growth is great, in the sense that you are able to work on almost any codebase, if you show interest (python,c,go,etc). 3) I believe you would need at least 2yrs in the company to see a noticeable increase in TC, unless you are a rockstar and joined at the right time (highly improbable) and “keep” being a rockstar. 4) Schrödinger's cat Tc: 180k Yoe: 3
