1 Cr+ if it was just upto me. But my gf had an autoimmune disease as a kid and it destroyed some good parts of her lungs. Doc keeps asking her to move to a place with cleaner air for longer life. we don’t have that option right now, but USA is a lot better place to live in, if you ignore everything and just compare based on quality of life
Why stay in a cramped concrete jungle when you have the money? Most of India has good AQI, especially if you move to areas with natural beauty, it's just that the loudmouths and media industry stay in highly populated cities.
Because those beautiful areas don’t have much of an economy. We are both knowledge workers, we can’t just give everything up and move to those cities. Almost no good paying cos allow WFH these days. And these “concrete jungles” you’re talking have AQI which is almost same as that of the most pristine natural areas of India. Along with a very thriving economy
I earn 1cr( actual salary no rsu/stocks) roughly in India. No expenses but I have also lived in the EU(switzerland,). Quality of life in terms of air , water and clean infra less population is great but on the other hand ease/comfort in India in terms of labour service, availability of options is unmatched. In India I can Live like a king for sure but part of me misses my life in the EU a lot. I'm still young 27 years old so maybe I can still change countries
Where do you earn 1cr cash?
I consult . I have registered myself as a company (read freelance). I have a solid contract with a us company which pays more than enough but sometimes I also freelance. My contract explicitly says I can work for other companies too. I'm non exclusive. So yeah not a FAANG company but I'm happy. Maybe FAANG pays more idk . I'm happy with my contract Life. Yes I do have Job security in the sense of how everyone had in 2022-23.
