Got a new grad offer for Asana, nobody from my school has ever worked there so I'd like to know your thoughts on the company. What is the culture and WLB like, and will I get a lot of growth and learning opportunities as a new grad? And because this is Blind... Current TC: $13/hr (part time job as student) Asana TC (in SF): Base $138k Sign on $25k RSUs: $127k over 4 years (35/30/20/15) Reloc: $5k Edit: this is my Blind account from my first ever internship, I am no longer at Amex since people are wondering
Amex? Lol happily accept Asana
lmao i cant tell if ur joking
Great people, great food, and great learning opportunities. Wlb 🍌. Can you discuss your interview experience?
As a new grad I had 1 phone round, and then a final round that consisted of 3 interviews: one was Leetcode style, one system design, and a 2 hour round where I was given time on my own to code a solution & then had a code review with the interviewer after
Hi congrats on your offer! This sounds like a stressful situation for you to navigate as a new grad. I’d recommend reaching out to your recruiter to set up a call with someone currently working at Asana, rather than asking on blind. I personally think growth and learning is great. We reward mentorship, so people are incentivized to help you grow. Culture is great too - though it may seem cultish if you’re not accustomed to the Silicon Valley lifestyle. You can read about our culture and WLB through our blogposts. The average blind user might not have a good opinion of Asana, but I think it is a great place to start your career. The connections you’ll make at Asana opens doors. You can stalk Asana employees on LinkedIn to get a sense of the people you’ll be working with.
Thank you! One of my interviewers actually reached out to me to ask if I had questions, and after talking to him a bit I liked what I heard so I'll most likely be signing :)
@Amex Welcome!
How come no one has brought up that vesting schedule in the comments? It doesn’t add up to 100.
Damn that’s a big cut to give away to your recruiter
Whoops that should say 35/30/20/15
When do you get the 35% RSUs?
Stick to amex for prestige
Damn sorry about that :( Maybe stay at Asana while you try to get back into amex
