Asked to apply for backfill.

I’m currently contracting at Nike. I love my team, but because of the way planning was executed this year, I don’t see that anything will open up for me at the end of my contract. I was laid off from Intel at the end of 2019. I’d contracted there for about 6 years, then was an employee for less than two. The employment experience was bad, as was the leaving experience. Because of that, I’m not particularly keen to go back. A friend of mine in IT at Intel recently retired and asked me to apply for her backfill. I’m capable, but I’d have to work with my old group in marketing. But the stability, even if it’s just for another two years while I work to get out, would be nice. Should I stick it out at Nike even though I might be hitting unemployment again? Or should I go for full time employment with full benefits even if I hate it? TC: 120k

Don't go back to Intel if you didn't like your experience there. Start exploring other opportunities and start interviewing

Ride out your contract at Nike. Interview as often as possible. Easier to find a ew job while you have one. If you do get laid off, take the severance and keep interviewing.

There’s no severance for an ETW
