Who is getting past the karat rounds? I feel like I'd have solved it with a bit more time or some hints but it'd take a couple more months of grinding before I can solve unseen hards in 30 min. #atlassian #karat
The fuck is karat
Hope you never have to go through it lol This has some info https://us.teamblind.com/s/nP7MraA7
I’m sad to see this transition but all them Leetcoders are gonna 🍾🥳🍻
Was your old process this difficult
Nah it’s easy- FE or BE system design interview - whiteboarding session, no coding
We use karat now?
30 min to code for more than one problem I couldn't finish the first leetcode hard one. I tried the redo but it was the same story again. Was your old process the same level of difficulty?
No we never ask LC hard. This may be a temporary process as we have a shortage of interviewers rn. I haven't heard of anyone having a karat interview tbh.
Hey, can I get some more information on the kind of Karat questions? Are these leetcode/ Data Structure & Algorithm questions?
Domain and algorithm questions.
Adding my data point as this thread and others about Karat made me freak out after my screen last week and almost request a redo as I only finished one coding question. Interviewing for senior. 5 straightforward sys design questions, allotted 4/5 mins each. Did OK overall, not perfect. 2 coding questions, medium difficulty. Solved first w/optimal working solution, ran out of time to code complete solution for the second but described my algorithm and interviewer said he understood the approach. Recruiter emailed next business day that I passed. Interviewer was pleasant and we had some exchange on all parts of the interview, not robotic and one-way like others have described. Felt like a normal tech screen.
could we bypass the karat interview? I had referral on my application, but do have a karat interview.
Do you mind sharing the system design questions?
DM for referral
Looks like only bots like these are clearing Karat
What type of role? I did not have a Karat round.
